The psychedelic music keeps improving as we inch closer to the U.S. presidential election and our collective existential dread deepens (for those of us in America, at least).
It’s almost like there’s a correlation between the world’s madness and how great the new psychedelic music is every month. Perhaps researchers can study this one day and give us verifiable data on this hypothesis.
Anyway, October was another great month for new psych music, and as usual, we’re rounding up The Third Eye’s favorites from this past month.
Goat released a new record in October, which is always a cause for celebration. We also got new music from Third Eye favorites and psyched-out Australians, The Bures Band and Levi J. Burr. Meanwhile, in Nashville, guitarist and songwriter John Condit released the terrific Return To The Center.
Rounding out our favorite October releases was an experimental take on Appalachian folk by The Modern Folk Trio Band, new Japanese psych music from Yaryu, new music from Acid Rooster, and much more.
