Third Eye Radio creeps back in from the crypt just in time for spooky season.
Autumn is our favorite time of year: cool winds, rustling leaves, and the perfect atmosphere for a little sonic séance. For this special episode, we went digging through the Internet Archive and unearthed a series of ghost stories narrated by Wade Denning, originally released in 1974.
They’re spooky in a PG way, but they have that unmistakable haunted-vinyl charm, the kind that instantly conjures old Halloween records spinning in candlelit basements.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Third Eye Radio without some heady jams. This episode drifts through jams from the far corners of the underground, including The Far Sound, The Fishermen Three, Elkhorn, Sula Bassana, and more.
Setlist includes:
- “Headless Horseman” intro
- “Out of Style” – The Fishermen Three
- “Let the Warmth Turn Inward” – The Far Sound
- “Hyperspace Vibrations” – Black Tempest
- “Sir Lawrence Oblivion” – Wilde Vier
- “Headless Horseman” interlude
- “Bad Moon Blues” – Depth Charms
- “Inside Spider Rock” – Elkhorn
- “Afterlife” – Pallbearer Industry
- “Tell Tale Heart” interlude
- “Dealer McDope” – Sula Bassana
- “The Truth is Out There” – Psychedelic Source Records
- “Ghost Ship” outro
