After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to begin migrating The Third Eye from WordPress to Substack.
Running a WordPress site has become expensive, and Substack offers a simpler alternative. It’s easier to use, far less costly, and built for the kind of writing and community The Third Eye thrives on. Substack also offers paid options, though all Third Eye content will remain free.
What changes for readers? Not much.
I’ll still be covering psychedelic music, experimental sounds, and small independent artists and labels. The only difference is where you’ll read it.
I’ll be importing the current ~300 email subscribers to Substack so you won’t miss anything. You can unsubscribe at any time if it’s not your thing.
I’m also slowly bringing over the archives. Years of reviews, deep dives, and discoveries I don’t want to lose forever.
For now, the WordPress site will stay live, but new posts will start appearing on Substack first. If you’d like to follow along, you can do that here: https://thirdeyepsychrock.substack.com/
