With their new record, Born To Kill, Caveman & The Banshee crack open the skull of sound and let the weird, sticky truths ooze out. The record swerves between lighthearted carnage, AI-fueled paranoia, and the suffocating beauty of a full-scale mental collapse.

There’s Star Trek existentialism, outsider anthems for the everywhere-nowhere crowd, and enough raw voltage to make your teeth hum.

Veterans of the great Canadian stage-demolition tour, they’ve shredded alongside the likes of Fucked Up, Shearing Pinx, and The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol. In 2025 and beyond, they intend to keep burning down stages, dragging their wreckage behind them like a badge of honor.

Dave Read and Valentina Cardinalli have worked in Moths & Locusts and Anunnaki, curated legendary underground hubs like Nanaimo’s White Room, and continued their NoiseAgonyMayhem empire. They breathe DIY chaos like oxygen.

What does this foaming-at-the-mouth madness sound like? Think Suicide short-circuiting into Daft Punk, Motorhead speeding through Nina Hagen’s nightmares, Parliament-Funkadelic on a folk horror bender. Atari Teenage Riot fighting ‘70s KISS in the ruins of Planet of the Apes.

It’s noise. It’s agony. It’s mayhem. And it absolutely rips. Check it out.
