The South Coast, U.K. duo Safari Inn is back with a new single called “Can You Live With It?” Building off the strength of their 2023 EP, Welcome To Safari Inn, the new song blends heavy rock and dream pop with a dash of psychedelia. It’s a piece of hazy, fuzz-laden, reverb-soaked goodness we’re coming to expect from these U.K. rockers.

The band tells us, “Can You Live With It?” is perfect for fans of Black Sabbath, and the female-fronted vocals add a unique Sabbathian spin on things. Recent support for the track came from John Kennedy of Radio X, who praised Safari Inn following a recent performance. Further support comes from Melita Dennett of BBC Introducing, who described the latest single as a banger.

Officially released on April 26th, the track was premiered on BBC, which is no small feat. Safari Inn was born out of a shared passion for the film True Romance, and the group comprises the duo of Lexi Clark and Jen Ahlkvist. They are both formerly of The Frankyls. Safari Inn explores darker tones with thunderous rhythms, swirling guitars, and reverb-drenched vocals.

It’s been a pleasure keeping in touch with the gals of Safari Inn and watching their music develop since their EP last year. Here’s hoping they leave us with more great music in the years ahead, which I suspect they will. Enjoy!
