The Third Eye is a site about psychedelic rock and its subgenres, its past, present, and future. Ever since listening to Hendrix’s Are You Experienced? as a teenager, I’ve had a deep love for music and the esoteric. This site is a continuation of my journey to discover great new psych-rock music, explore its rich social and cultural history, and draw closer to the source of all things.

The Third Eye strives to be a independent resource for psychedelic musicians, fans, and artists by promoting and reviewing the best new psychedelic music out there today from underground acts. We began with psychedelic rock in mind, but we also cover all varieties of psych music and other genres we dig, such as “cosmic country,” stoner rock, and experimental good stuff.
