All Them Witches’ Project Offers One New Wicked Track Every Month

Heavy psych-rockers All Them Witches have a new project, dropping wicked, new tunes every month this year as part of their “Baker’s Dozen.” The series of singles is an absolute delight for fans of the Nashville-based band. They plan to drop 13 songs in 2022, one for each month plus a tasty bonus.

So far, ATW has released four of the tracks: “Slow City,” “Silver to Rust,” “Fall into Place,” and “Blacksnake Blues.” You’ll want to check them out, trust me. Most of the songs are extended jams, touching on different aspects of ATW’s unique, versatile sound. “Blacksnake Blues” shows off the band’s bluesy roots, “Silver to Rust” is nestled in their neo-psychedelic territory, and “Slow City” is a 12-minute-plus jam reminiscent of their latest album, Nothing as the Ideal.

All Them Witches began in 2012, and they’re now six records deep into their tenure in the Heavy Psych Rock scene. Ben McLeod (guitar), Charles Michael Parks, Jr. (bass/vocals), Robby Staebler (drums), and Allan Van Cleave (keys) play with vicious energy, delivering wicked guitar riffs and an intoxicating blend of Progressive, Blues, and Neo-Psych that has gained them a following.

ATW is constantly touring, having performed at festivals like Voodoo Music & Arts and Bonnaroo, and they’re currently on the road now. They’re finishing up the last leg of American shows before they head to Europe, planning to travel across the continent in England, Germany, and Spain, among others.

The band’s most recent masterpiece, Nothing as the Ideal, was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road studio and released in September 2020. ATW is by far one of my favorite Heavy Psych Rock acts active today, and I’m thrilled to see them releasing new music. One new single every month is a hell of a treat for 2022.
