Mark your calendars: Milwaukee Psych Fest is returning May 10-11 this year, and festival founder and organizer Andrew Shelp recently released the full lineup on Facebook. The festival made its long-awaited return last year after the pandemic caused multiple postponements. I didn’t go to last year, but I saw plenty of videos online that made me regret that I’d missed it.
Milwaukee Psych Fest IX will return to The Cooperage, featuring 19 acts from all over the world performing over two days. Along with the live music, “live rhythm painted visuals” will be provided by Mad Alchemy and Luminacidy. We’re told that tickets will be available soon.
Several bands The Third Eye has covered will be performing, including Emergency Group, Dire Wolves, Savage Blush, and Jeffrey Alexander & The Heavy Lidders. Overall, it sounds like a fabulous time, and I will do my best to get up there. I’m always game for a good road trip.
